MOT Testing and the law

An MOT is a legal requirement for every vehicle that is used on the road. It must keep it in roadworthy condition. The MOT test checks that vehicles meet the road safety and environmental standard. The first MOT test for a vehicle is required when it is 3 yr old from new. An MOT test ensures that your vehicle meets the minimum road safety standards. It is designed to keep you and other road users safe. Your insurance is not valid if you don't have an MOT on your vehicle.

The MOT test takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour and you are welcome to wait in our reception area or can pick your vehicle up later in the day.
